George Lossius, Chief Executive Officer

George Lossius is responsible for the operational and strategic management and growth of Publishing Technology. He is also responsible for the growth of Publishing Technology, and its divisions.

George was previously the Group Chief Executive of VISTA International, responsible for the overall corporate management and strategic direction of VISTA. In this role, George oversaw VISTA's technology investments in new products, services and its expansion of offshore initiatives. George has been involved with VISTA for a number of years, holding senior executive positions in France, the UK and the US.

Before joining VISTA, George worked for Unilever, and in the mid ’90s was also the founder and publisher of an electronic sports newsletter. George is on the Board of Directors for the Book Industry Study Group.


Alan Moug, Chief Financial Officer

As Chief Financial Officer of Publishing Technology, Alan is responsible for the financial well being and stability of the organization as well as communicating with the investor community.

Alan was previously Chief Financial Officer for VISTA International with jurisdiction over finance, human resources and administration. Prior to his move to VISTA, Alan held a number of senior positions within Intershop AG, a global provider of e-commerce software and solutions, including CFO of Intershop Communications Inc. in San Francisco, California. Alan has also been the Corporate Reporting Manager for ICI plc and the Finance & IT Manager for ICI Explosives Europe.

Alan began his career as a Chartered Accountant with Coopers & Lybrand in Scotland after graduating from Glasgow University with a Bachelor of Accountancy degree.


Randy Petway, Executive Vice President, Strategy and Business Development

As Executive Vice President, Strategy and Business Development, Randy leads the organization in its strategic development to ensure Publishing Technology's continued growth and market leadership, and is responsible for international business development and the global marketing efforts to communicate that strategy and align sales and marketing efforts with the corporate objectives.

Prior to the merger between VISTA and Ingenta to form Publishing Technology, Randy held several management level positions at VISTA, with responsibility for professional services and product development. With more than 9 years of industry experience,he has had the pleasure of working with some of the world's leading trade, academic, and educational publishers.


Colin Bottle, Group Chief Operating Officer

Colin Bottle is responsible for the global operations of Publishing Technology. In this role he ensures that the operations group is leveraging global resources to work efficiently and effectively as a single unit.

Prior to the formation of Publishing Technology, Colin had been with VISTA since 1990, and since 1995, has been responsible for the European division's P&L and overall management in his role as Managing Director.

Colin’s career with VISTA spanned many key roles. Originally employed in a project management role, Colin progressed rapidly in both technical and managerial areas, holding positions such as Technology Director and Business Development Director before becoming the Managing Director of VISTA Europe. These experiences provided Colin with an integrated view into the many facets of both the company’s software as well as first-hand knowledge of key clients.

Prior to joining the organization, Colin held various roles in the publishing industry, including IT Manager for a key UK distributor, as well as completing several project management assignments in a number of other industries.


Brian Gibson, Chief Operating Officer, Publishing Applications

As Chief Operating Officer ,Publishing Applications, with specific responsibility to drive the development and delivery of Publishing Technology’s next generation of publishing applications, Brian is entirely focused on new product development and leads his team to create and deliver new Publishing Technology products.

Brian, formerly CEO of VISTA North America, was a key executive at VISTA since the company's inception and was responsible for the overall corporate management and strategic direction of VISTA International's North American operation.

Throughout his 25-year career, Brian had a significant impact on profitability and growth at VISTA—driving the company from five UK employees in 1977 to an international industry leader, serving the world's largest publishing houses from offices in Europe, North America and Australia.

Brian has also served as Group CEO, Managing Director of European operations, and founder of VISTA's operations in North America.


Jay Teitelbaum, Chief Operating Officer, North America

Jay Teitelbaum has been with Publishing Technology, and VISTA before it, since 1987. As the Chief Operating Officer in North America he is responsible for the Professional Services, Customer Services, and Account Management functions within PT operations throughout the region.

Jay graduated from Rutgers College in 1985, receiving a Bachelor's degree with Honors in Computer Science. After graduating, he spent several years as a software engineer at RCA's aerospace division before joining VISTA.

During his career at VISTA, Jay worked on numerous customer projects and managed the installation of fulfillment, warehouse management, and other related systems at over 25 major North American and international publishers. Prior to entering into his current role, Jay served as Vice President of Operations, Development Group Director, Project Director, Project Manager, and Senior Software Consultant.

Jay is currently an active member of the American Management Association (AMA), the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), and the Book Industry Study Group (BISG).


Douglas Wright, Executive Vice President, Scholarly Division

As Executive Vice President of Publishing Technology’s Scholarly Division, Doug ensures that our services and offerings for this particular sector are properly leveraged and developed to maximize the benefit to the market.

With more than 16 years of experience in marketing scholarly publications, Doug has implemented marketing and circulation management strategies for more than 100 publishers in his previous role as PCG's Vice President and General Manager. Doug has capitalized on this vast experience of scholarly communications in his last three years as Vice President of IngentaConnect, a role in which he had overall responsibility for the division's strategic management and direction.

Before joining Publishing Technology, Doug spent seven years at EBSCO Information Services where his responsibilities included direct marketing and circulation management.


Louise Tutton, Senior Vice President, Scholarly Division

As Senior Vice-President of Publishing Technology’s Scholarly Division, Louise is responsible for the management operations within the division, which include Client Management, Library Services, BBC Monitoring, advertising and scouting new markets.

Louise’s 12 years in the electronic publishing industry have focused on client relations but also incorporated project management and editorial experience. Positions with primary and secondary publishers, as well as with intermediaries and software providers, have given her a breadth of expertise and a wealth of practical experience. Louise speaks regularly at conferences around the world and sits on several industry committees.
